This happened:
Mulla Nasruddin once walked into a barber shop.
He looked at the barber and said, “Hey, buddy, I want a haircut like that!” pointing at a poster on the wall with dozens of hairstyles.
The barber, busy trimming someone else’s hair, just nodded. He glanced at the poster and mistakenly thought Nasruddin wanted a haircut that looked like a street smuggler. But what Nasruddin actually wanted was a royal haircut.
Tired from riding his horse all the way there, Nasruddin dozed off as the barber went to work on his “head property.”
When Nasruddin finally woke up, he saw his reflection in the mirror and burst out laughing.
“Hey buddy! Who’s that funny-looking guy in the mirror? I might hire him for my next soap commercial!” he chuckled.
The barber replied, “Oh, what a great thing! You don’t need to spend money hiring him… ’cause it’s you in the mirror!”
How many of you have assumed certain features mean a certain thing, only to realize you’re in the same situation as Nasruddin here?
